Mowing Your Lawn

When can you mow a newly laid turf?

When your turf starts growing and is fully rooted into the soil, begin giving your grass frequent, small trims (and collect all clippings). We recommend trimming your turf by one-third of the total height of the grass. This approach is better than allowing it to grow tall and cutting it all at once. Little and often.

After this point, your lawn should be mowed weekly from March to October. It’s important not to allow the grass to grow too tall during these months. If there is a period of constant rain, you can always mow on a high setting.

Can Lawns be cut in winter?

Lawns can be cut in the winter if the weather permits, if we have a mild winter and the grass is still growing. Never mow your lawn if the ground is very wet, frozen, or during a spell of cold weather.
